Laboratorio de Imágenes Médicas (LIM) PUCP is part of the Medical Image Formation and Processing Group, focused on advancing medical imaging techniques. LIM is dedicated to training researchers in the areas of imaging formation, image processing, and biomedical instrumentation.
The mission of LIM is to make a positive impact on patient health by enhancing and developing diagnostic and monitoring techniques for diseases. The laboratory's research is centered on three main fields: quantitative ultrasound, elastography and beamforming. These areas of study aim to improve imaging accuracy and provide thorough assessments of tissue properties. The conducted research also includes patient trials to test and refine new methods, contributing to advancements in medical imaging and diagnostics.
The laboratory is guided by its core values of perseverance in research, adherence to ethical standards in patient experimentation, and a commitment to collaboration with external partners for mutual benefit.
