We are very happy to announce that seven papers from the Laboratorio de Imágenes Médicas (LIM) will be presented at the 2026 IEEE International Ultrasonics Symposium (IUS 2026), to be held from October 4–8 in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA.
This year’s contributions reflect the range of research currently being developed in our lab. They address quantitative ultrasound methods for tissue characterization, including backscatter and attenuation estimation, nonlinear parameter imaging, and ultrasound-based liver steatosis assessment. The papers comprise methodological developments, phantom experiments, and in vivo studies.
These studies were developed by members of our lab together with PUCP students and faculty, clinical partners, and international research groups. We look forward to presenting our results and discussing them with the international ultrasonics community in Raleigh :)
